Project Overview

T-Online, the Internet arm of Deutsche Telekom, engaged Sapient to build two broadband portal prototypes. Both prototypes, one for TV and one for PC were required for display at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA), Germany’s largest telecommunications trade show. The primary requirement was to “wow ”an audience consisting of industry professionals, the press, CEOs, and consumers and enable the  re-usability of as many elements as possible for the launch product.

In addition, to the information architecture, I was responsible for determining all of the interactive interactions and animations and developing the script the presenters would use at the trade show.

    Results

    T-Online moved forward with the PC portal which launched in April of 2002.  The final design maintained the general structure, navigation and uses a number of interactions designed in the prototype.  The T-Vision booth became one of the most popular booths in the Deutsche Telekom arena at the show
